AKARNANIA. Argos Amphilochikon. Circa 340-300 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 8.63 g, 9 h). Pegasos flying left; below, A. Rev. APΓEI Head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind neck guard, crested Corinthian helmet to left. BCD Akarnania 133 (same reverse die). BMC 8-9. Calciati 11. Imhoof-Blumer, Akarnanien, 12. Nicely toned and of fine style. Minor marks and with very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
